Gluten Free Gingerbread House
Another Christmas tradition in our family is making gingerbread houses. The more I read about doing that with celiac disease, the more I was hesitant to do so with our girlie. We don’t eat them, but I didn’t want there to be any chance of her getting sick from working with a gingerbread house with gluten.
Instead, we bought a few boxes of Pamela’s Gluten Free Honey Grahams and made our own! With the help of some vanilla icing and decorations, we had just as much fun with it as we usually do! Introducing our girlie’s “Sweet Shop” shown in the picture! Her brother even joined in on the fun, and there were plenty of graham crackers and decorations for him, too.
Here’s what we bought to make them:
Pamela’s Honey Grahams - from Kroger
Betty Crocker Rich and Creamy Vanilla Icing - from Target
Favorite Day Holiday Cookie Red & Green Icing Set - from Target
Favorite Day Very Merry Sprinkle Box - from Target (sold out for this year)
M&M’s in Christmas colors - from Target
Our girlie loved this way as much as the old way of buying a gingerbread house kit, so we’ll definitely be doing this again next year!
